“The bi-product from the cladding material was sawdust used to create the composite decking so the holistic product cycle was also very appealing.”
Schreiber Hamilton Architects
Schreiber Hamilton Architecture or SHA as we have come to be known has emerged as a remarkable and rewardingly successful practice. Kevin and I began with a vision to create high quality architecture with a pragmatic approach to budget control and project management. SHA has maintained a core group of senior talented staff with a clever depth of skill and expertise. It has been a successful formula to gain client confidence and ensure the highest levels of service. We now specialize in Aviation, Health, Education and Infrastructure work.
Hunter Wetlands Centre
The Hunter Wetlands Centre is a unique school facility designed to teach primary and secondary school children (over 15,000 p.a) visiting the wetlands to learn about the environment, the importance of water and groundwater dependant ecosystems as well as celebrate over 44 migratory birds which breed here in Newcastle. We decided the best approach was a simple repetitive building with an ability to be flexible, adaptable and allow future changes in environmental technologies to be added and subtracted to the building. The primary objective in all school work is to deliver teaching space, especially when presented with tight budgets.
